Person-Only Loan Approvals
Once you become a member of ESLCU, you can apply for a loan. All our Loan applications are assessed by a human being. Our loans team looks carefully at the credit & affordability checks, and considers each loan application on a case-by-case basis. You can check the status of your loan application at any time through the Members Area.
Flexible Repayments
Pay back your credit union loan in a way that suits you. We offer monthly or weekly repayment options on all of our loan products.
Fill in the membership form on our website. Please note, there is a recurring membership fee of £1 every 4 weeks for all of our accounts.
Pay £5 using PayPal or GoCardless (you’ll see the payment page after submitting the form).
Once approved, you’ll get an email with your membership number, account details, and information about us.
Once you join, you can also apply for a loan through the Members Area. Loan decisions are typically made within 3-4 working days.
After you have become a member of ESLCU, log into the Members Area. Here you can apply for a loan using our straightforward application form.
Yes. As an ethical credit union, we have no fees for early or extra repayments. If you want to pay back your loan early, simply call our friendly team on 03336 000690 and we’ll help you do that.
Our recommendation is to only apply for how much you need, and how much you can afford to repay. We run affordability checks on all of our credit union loans to ensure that the repayments are affordable for you.
Yes we do. A member of our loans team looks carefully at each application, and considers each one on a case-by-case basis. This means that we can consider small credit union loans for people who have had historic credit issues in some instances.
