The Board of Directors are members of the credit union elected to oversee the work of the credit union and to set the strategy and direction the organisation takes.
The board meet monthly to receive reports from the Chief Executive, Treasurer and other officers of the credit union. Board meetings take place on the third Wednesday of each month, via Zoom, the meetings normally last a couple of hours. The roles are voluntary but reasonable expenses are paid.
Our directors have a range of backgrounds and experiences which help them understand our financial services and how we meet our members’ needs in the modern world.
We would welcome conversations with professionals who have experience in marketing, audit, risk, IT or human resources. We will benefit from applying your specific skills and knowledge in delivering our strategy, you will gain valuable experience and recognition in helping grow a socially valuable enterprise. If you are an experienced non-executive director or looking to start your NED career then we would be pleased to hear from you.
Please note: For all Directors, we will require personal and employment details will also require references. You will be identified as a director on The Financial Conduct Authority Register and if you take on a senior role you will be registered under the Senior Manager Function (SMF) regime.
We have strong foundations to support the growth of our business and we want you to help deliver our ambitious plans.
