It’s as simple as logging into your online banking! First you will need to enter in some basic information like your name and phone number, you will then be asked to select your bank and authenticate yourself using what’s called “Open Banking”. This looks just like your online banking log in and is a service provided directly by your bank. consents.online will then attempt to make a secure connection with your bank account. This may take up to 2 minutes. Please wait until you see the screen that says, ‘Connection Successful’ before you log off.
Consents.Online is a secure platform that lets you grant permission to us to view your bank statements. This is a paper free approach to sharing your income and expenditure data so we can fairly assess whether any loan payments you offer to make are affordable. This service saves you having to collect bank statement, payslip or benefit information for sending to us. You are only consenting to read-only access and we cannot make to changes to your account. Consents.Online puts you in the driving seat as you can turn off access at any time.
You don’t have to consent to sharing your bank statements, but it will make it easier for you and it will speed up our consideration of your loan application.
Consents.online provide a secure and encrypted service that enables us to have ‘read-only’ access to your bank statement. Just like we would if you sent us a paper copy of your statement, but without the hassle! Consents.online will connect to your bank safely and securely and will also provide you with a portal which you can use to see what information we and others have accessed.
